

The next week was an easier task for the Blue Devils, they rolled past Libertyville 42-8. Jailen Duffie made a mark on both sides of the ball with a huge interception and a receiving touchdown.

Jaden Turner had a huge game defensively, recording 10 tackles with 4 sacks. Charley Thompson showed out for the second week in a row with 131 rushing yards and a touchdown. The Blue Devils were able to pull off a spectacular win, 19-17. This year, Warren got the chance play them in Park Ridge. The Maine South student section stormed Warren’s field and flew their flag across the turf. In the 2021 season, the Blue Devils fell to Maine South in a huge upset. Warren’s second game of the season was a personal one. The defense held their ground only allowing one touchdown, coming in the 3rd quarter. Adams Behrens rushed for a touchdown and threw for 204 yards with one touchdown pass to Jailen Duffie. Charley Thompson began his huge season on the ground with 189 yards and 4 touchdowns. Warren earned a 41-7 win over the Broncos in an explosive offensive game for the Blue Devils. The Blue Devil football team kicked off their season at home, against Barrington.

The season may have ended earlier than many hoped, but it was still a season to remember. Warren’s famous defense continued to shut down opponents, and a fast, explosive offense put up huge numbers on the board for the Blue Devils. The Warren Township football team had yet another great season of football in 2022, continuing the long tradition of great teams at the High School.
